Profile Setup

After creating your account and verifying your email, complete your profile to personalize your Practito experience.

Accessing Profile Settings

  1. Log in to Practito
  2. Click your profile picture (top-right corner)
  3. Select Settings → Profile
  4. Or go directly to /settings/profile

For Students

As a student, set up your profile to track your progress and connect with teachers:

Basic Information

  1. Upload Profile Picture - Add a photo to personalize your account
  2. Recommended: 400x400px

  3. Formats: JPG, PNG (max 5MB)

  4. Primary Instrument - Choose your main instrument

  5. Piano, Guitar, Violin, Drums, etc.

  6. You can change this later

  7. Skill Level - Select your current level

  8. Beginner (0-1 years)
  9. Intermediate (1-3 years)
  10. Advanced (3-5 years)

  11. Expert (5+ years)

  12. Practice Goals - Set daily/weekly practice targets

  13. Daily practice time (minutes)
  14. Weekly practice days

  15. Monthly goals

  16. Bio - Brief introduction (optional)

  17. Tell others about your musical journey
  18. Maximum 500 characters

Additional Settings

  • Grade/Year - Current grade or year in school
  • Musical Interests - Favorite genres, composers
  • Learning Goals - What you want to achieve
  • Location - City/country (optional)
  • Time Zone - For scheduling and notifications

For Teachers

As a teacher, your profile helps students and parents learn about your credentials:

Professional Information

  1. Professional Photo - Upload a professional profile picture
  2. Clear, well-lit headshot recommended

  3. Formats: JPG, PNG (max 5MB)

  4. Teaching Credentials - Add degrees and certifications

  5. Music degree (BM, MM, DMA)
  6. Teaching certifications
  7. Performance credentials

  8. Awards and honors

  9. Instruments Taught - Select all instruments you teach

  10. Can select multiple

  11. Set proficiency level for each

As an organization, create a professional profile for your school or academy:

  1. Organization Logo - Upload your school logo
  2. High-resolution logo recommended
  3. Transparent PNG preferred

  4. Max size: 5MB

Editing Your Profile

You can update your profile anytime:

  1. Go to Settings → Profile
  2. Click Edit Profile
  3. Update any information
  4. Click Save Changes
  5. Changes take effect immediately

Profile Picture Guidelines

Recommended: - Clear, well-lit photo - Neutral or professional background - 400x400px or larger - Square aspect ratio

Not Allowed: - Offensive or inappropriate images - Copyrighted images - Low-quality or blurry photos - Non-photo images (for verified accounts)
