Playlists & Organization¶
Create and manage playlists to organize your music library and plan practice sessions.
Creating Playlists¶
New Playlist¶
- Go to My Music → Playlists
- Click "Create New Playlist"
- Enter playlist information:
- Name: Descriptive title
- Description: Purpose or contents
- Cover Image: Upload image (optional)
- Choose visibility:
- Private: Only you can see
- Shared: Share with specific users
- Public: Anyone can view
- Click "Create Playlist"
Playlist Settings¶
Configure each playlist: - Name and description - Cover image (upload or choose from library) - Privacy settings - Order (manual or automatic) - Display style (list or grid)
Adding Music to Playlists¶
From Piece Page¶
- Open any piece
- Click "Add to Playlist" button
- Select playlist(s)
- Optionally add notes
- Confirm
From Library View¶
Bulk add multiple pieces: 1. Browse music library 2. Check boxes next to pieces 3. Click "Add to Playlist" 4. Select destination playlist 5. Pieces added instantly
Drag and Drop¶
In playlist editor: - Drag pieces from library - Drop into playlist - Reorder by dragging - Remove by dragging out
Playlist Features¶
Organizing Pieces¶
Reorder Pieces: - Drag and drop to reorder - Sort by: title, composer, difficulty, date added - Group by: difficulty, instrument, genre - Reverse order
Add Notes: - Add personal notes to each piece - Practice reminders - Technical challenges - Performance notes - Teacher comments
Track Progress: - Mark pieces as: - Not Started - In Progress - Mastered - Performance Ready - Completion percentage shown - Visual progress indicators
Practice Mode¶
Practice Entire Playlist: 1. Open playlist 2. Click "Practice All" 3. Practice pieces in sequence 4. Automatic progression 5. Track session statistics
Session Features: - Auto-advance to next piece - Take breaks between pieces - Skip pieces if needed - Save progress - Session summary at end
Sharing Playlists¶
Share with Others: 1. Open playlist 2. Click "Share" 3. Choose method: - Share link (public playlists) - Invite specific users by email - Share with your teacher - Share with class (if in organization) 4. Set permissions: - View only - Can add pieces - Can edit
Collaborative Playlists: - Multiple people can add pieces - See who added what - Comments and discussions - Great for study groups

Duplicate Existing Playlists: - Copy any playlist - Modify for your needs - Create variations - Save time organizing
Export Playlist: - Download as PDF list - Export metadata to CSV - Print for offline reference - Share list without sharing access
