Subscribing & Upgrading

Subscribing to a Plan:

Step 1: Choose Plan 1. Go to "Pricing" or "Upgrade" button 2. Review plan features 3. Select plan 4. Choose billing cycle: - Monthly - Yearly (save 17%)

Step 2: Payment Method Select payment provider: - 💳 Credit/Debit Card (Stripe) - 📱 M-Pesa (Kenya) - 💰 PayPal

Step 3: Payment Details

For Card Payment (Stripe): - Card number - Expiry date - CVC - Billing address

For M-Pesa: - Phone number - You'll receive STK push - Enter M-Pesa PIN - Confirmation

For PayPal: - Redirected to PayPal - Login and authorize - Return to Practito

Step 4: Confirmation - Review order summary - Apply coupon code (if any) - Accept terms - Complete payment

Step 5: Activation - Payment processed - Account upgraded immediately - Confirmation email sent - Receipt generated

Free Trial: - New users: 14-day free trial of Premium - No credit card required - Full Premium features - Cancel anytime - Auto-converts to Free if not subscribed

Upgrading Your Plan:

From Free to Premium: 1. Click "Upgrade" button 2. Choose billing cycle 3. Complete payment 4. Instant activation

From Monthly to Yearly: 1. Go to Settings → Subscription 2. Click "Switch to Yearly" 3. Pro-rated credit applied 4. Pay difference 5. New billing date set

From Individual to Organization: 1. Contact support 2. Account converted 3. Invite members 4. Billing updated

8.3 Managing Your Subscription

Subscription Dashboard:

Access: Settings → Subscription

Current Plan Details: - Plan name - Billing cycle (monthly/yearly) - Next billing date - Amount charged - Payment method - Subscription status

Usage Statistics: - Days remaining (if trial) - Features used - Upload quota used - Messages sent (if limited)

Actions:

Change Payment Method: 1. Click "Update Payment Method" 2. Add new card/M-Pesa/PayPal 3. Save 4. Next charge uses new method

Update Billing Information: - Change billing address - Update email for receipts - Company information (for invoices)

Change Plan: - Upgrade plan (immediate) - Downgrade plan (at end of cycle) - Switch billing cycle

Cancel Subscription: 1. Click "Cancel Subscription" 2. Optional: Feedback on why 3. Confirm cancellation 4. Access remains until period ends 5. Reverts to Free plan after

Pause Subscription: (Premium Plus) - Pause for 1-3 months - Account frozen - Resume anytime - No charges during pause

8.4 Billing & Invoices

Payment History:

Access: Settings → Billing History

Transaction List: - Date - Description - Amount - Status (Paid/Failed/Refunded) - Invoice number - Download invoice - Download receipt

Invoice Details: Each invoice includes: - Invoice number - Issue date - Due date (for organizations) - Itemized charges - Subtotal - Tax (if applicable) - Total - Payment method - Transaction ID

Download: - PDF format - Includes company logo - Tax information - Payment proof

Failed Payments:

If payment fails: 1. Email notification sent 2. Retry automatic (3 attempts over 7 days) 3. Account has grace period (7 days) 4. Manual retry option 5. Update payment method 6. Contact support if issues

Grace Period: - Premium features remain active - 7 days to resolve payment - Reminders sent - After 7 days: downgrade to Free

Refund Policy:

Individual Plans: - 30-day money-back guarantee - Request refund within 30 days - Full refund, no questions asked - After 30 days: pro-rated refunds considered

Organization Plans: - 60-day money-back guarantee - Pro-rated refunds for annual plans - Contact support for refund request

Requesting Refund: 1. Go to Settings → Subscription 2. Click "Request Refund" 3. Fill refund form: - Reason - Feedback 4. Submit request 5. Processed within 5-7 business days 6. Refund to original payment method
